Purchased in July 2022 as with all the terrible weather we wanted to be prepared for the worst.Fortunately it has saved us twice since then, first in July and then again in September.Keeps essential items running and quite a bit else as well.Starts easily as long as you turn it over every couple of months.

Our B&S Q6500 arrived 3 days before the broader Sydney and Hunter regions were hit by the July 2022 severe weather event. Our power went out on the second day of the storms and remained out for 8 days. The generator literally saved our bacon (and everything else in the fridge) during this time. The eco-mode means we could get over 24 hours per tank. The generator is pretty quiet, as generators go, and fairly easy to start (up to 6 pulls before it started on 4c mornings). Looking forward to getting it properly wired into the fuse box to make 'next time' all the more easier.

Great Value for size of generator Review by Pasquale Scarazza

Great Product, easy pull start and good on fuel. Having blue tooth connectivity to see how much fuel is remaining is handy and also the fact it tells you when to service it is great. Only small downside is due my application I am not able to use the auto idle so it is a little noisier at close proximity. Also wishing it was electric start and plastic shell/panels feel a bit flimsy but considering other similar sized units are twice the price these small negatives are easy to live with.

Difficult to start Review by Peter Loveless

I purchased this in August. It was delivered safely and in great condition. My only complaint is that it is very difficult to start . Sometimes 10-15 pulls. It’s has been filled with Fresh fuel and B&S oil that came with the generator. I was told to take it to an accredited B& S service department which I did. Was then told it had a “ tricky choke “ ( whatever that means ). I have operated many different types of power equipment 2 stroke & 4 stroke and this is by far the worst one I have had to start. I am disappointed because it’s seems other reviewers have not had any difficulty starting their generators. With this in mind I cannot rate this generator as high as I would have liked.

Purchased this generator for home back up during outages, plugs easily into my change over switch installed by my electrician Perfect size and was able to run the whole house at around 30amps Generator starts easily with pull start and is whisper quiet for the size and output. User friendly Bluetooth app to keep an eye on fuel run time and load. Very easy to move around with strong handle and wheels

We purchased the 6500 watt Briggs and Stratton as back up as we are are of the grid, very happy with it were very surprised with the fuel economy as we have got more than 14 hours from 1 tank it was closer to 17 hours and that was at 50% load, it’s easy to start easy to service and would recommend it for somebody looking for good value.

Spent 2 months researching generators, Drove me nuts. Wanted the best i.e Honda or Yamaha but couldn't afford them in the $5000 -$6500 price range. Solution, get an unbiased opinion from generator service centres and repairers. Based on that I purchased a Briggs and Stratton Q 6500 Inverter Generator and was knocked out. It is amazing. Started easy, was surprised at how quiet it was and best of all is the blue tooth app. So easy to keep an eye on the power usage. This feature alone makes it worth while as you know how much power your using 'no more guessing if you have to much plugged in or if I plug an extra appliance in is it drawing to much. It also has the fuel level and until empty readouts plus lets you k'now when to do oil changes etc. This is without a doubt the best Generator on the market in that Price range. If considering buying a cheapie spend a little more and get this.

It's a rippa unit..6500watts plenty of power to run anything...one yank on the rip cord and away she goes...good on fuel not too noisy especially when it's on quiet mode not running to many appliances...excellent for recharging me dual 120ah batteries...no complaints whatsoever.much better than a Honda.. cant go wrong with a Briggs n Stratton..they've been making lawn mowers for donkey years an they're bloody good machines..helpful knowledgeable staff as well...thanx heaps and merry Christmas to yaz all..
