Hyundai DHY8500SE 8kVA AVR Diesel Portable Generator with Silenced Electric Start, 1 Year Warranty. The large 12 litre fuel tank can provide up to 13 hours of run time @ 50% load.

The Best Selling Diesel Generator. The Hyundai DHY8500SE is one of the most popular sub 10kW standby diesel generators available on the market today. The compact size, clean power output and low noise make it a reliable source of backup electrical power for your business or home and is portable enough for field work.

Ease of Use. The DHY8500SE features electric and recoil start and a convenient digital control panel which displays the frequency, voltage and total run time. Refer to the listed DHY8500SERS model for a backup power generator which is compatible with an optional Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS). An ATS will sense the power cut and automatically start the generator even if you’re not around. Once the power has been restored, the ATS will again, automatically switch you back to mains power. The built in low oil alarm and automatic shutdown keep the generator safe during operation and ensure the engine is protected at all times.

Silent Operation. The DHY8500SE is part of the Hyundai silent range so is a quiet generator and comes with a sound attenuated canopy to reduce overall noise levels making it suitable for domestic or low noise areas. The canopy has large, hinged access panels to make routine maintenance and inspection much easier and is mounted on wheels for ease of movement.

What is the cost of the ATS for this unit?

Hi There, this unit does not have an ATS available. You will need to look at the DHY8700SE-LRS which has the ATS options listed in the accessories.

How reliable is the avr on these machines. My experience has not been good

Our experience has been positive with the AVR's on these generators.

However they are covered by a 12 month warranty should something go wrong.
Has this gen have a 3 phase plug on it looks that way in picture but no mention in specs

This generator comes with 2 x 15A single phase sockets. and 1 x 32A single phase socket.

There are no three phase sockets at all.
