I have only had the fridge wired up for a week or so, and it is the middle of winter BUT it seems to be doing what it is supposed to do thus far. I was after a fridge for my canopy, I didn't want to mess around with fridge slides etc so thought I'd give a 'upright fridge' a go. This 57litre Engel seemed to fit the bill, it was easy to fit and wire up and will no doubt suit my needs for a number of years.

Have had this Engel fridge for about three weeks now, running 24/7 in my 4wd, the unit is easy to access as opposed chest type , very happy with it, doesn't seem to use much power, would off been nice go have an internal light, however, very happy to date.

Good product, perfect for the job. Review by Phil Fry

I was looking for a replacement fridge for my caravan and could not find one that would fit into the existing space because it was over the wheel well. I checked the product range at My Generator and found a slightly smaller fridge in capacity but was the same dimensions wide and deep. The height was right as it fitted above the wheel well. Now I have space under the fridge and have made an extra storage area for pots and pans. Have been out caravaning and the fridge has worked perfectly.

Would this be suitable in a work canopy situation?

Provided it is mounted securely it should be just fine.

Upright fridges appear to be quite popular in canopy builds these days.
how do I work out the actual litre capacity of the freezer and frig capacity of the various models I'm looking for at least equal freezer frig capacity thanks

The freezer capacity on this model is about 4-6L.

Engel make a pigeon pair of fridges and freezers called the STR100F and the STF100F. These are both 95L in capacity.

These fridges have a 240V plug, and two wires for the 12V connection.

The 12V connection can be adapted to your set up as needed.
