Inverter/charger with GX inside:
An Inverter/Charger with device networking built-in, the MultiPlus-II GX communicates with a solar charger, batteries, and other devices to control a grid-connected, off-grid, or remote power installation. Capable of parallel operation for increased power output, or battery charge-rates, the MultiPlus-II GX can also be configured for a three-phase supply. A host of advanced features - such as uninterrupted power supply, setting load limits, and supplementing limited grid-power availability with battery power - can all be controlled straight from your phone or smart device. Remote monitoring is also possible.
A MultiPlus-II with LCD and GX functionality:
The MultiPlus-II GX integrates a MultiPlus-II inverter/charger and a GX device with a 2 x 16 character display.
Display and Wi-Fi:
The display reads battery, inverter, and solar charge controller parameters.
The same parameters can be accessed with a smartphone or other Wi-Fi enabled device.
GX device:
The integrated GX device includes:
- A VE.Can interface. This can be used to connect to Victron VE.Can devices (eg VE.Can MPPTs), or the port can be reconfigured via the Remote Console for use with a compatible CAN-bus Li-ion Battery.
- A USB port.
- An Ethernet port.
- A VE.Direct port.
Applications:
The MultiPlus-II GX is intended for applications where additional interfacing with other products and/or remote monitoring is required, such as on-grid or off-grid energy storage systems and certain mobile applications.
Parallel and three-phase operation:
Only one GX unit is needed in the case of Parallel and three-phase operation.

Can these chargers take solar input?
No, the battery charging component is an AC input, meaning only AC power (mains power) can charge through this unit.

What size Generator can I use with the Multiplus Inverter Chargers?
The below generators are the minimum recommend sizes based on an AVR generator:
Inverter Charger Size Minimum Recommended Generator Size 240V AC Input Current Limit 800VA 2 kVa 5A 1200VA 2.5 kVa 7A 1600VA 3 kVa 10A 3000VA 5 kVa 16A 5000VA 8 kVa 25A If your generator is smaller than the recommended size for your inverter/charger, you will definitely need to adjust the settings on the inverter/charger and reduce the AC input current limit, and/or a DC charge current limit to prevent overloading the generator. If you do want an inverter based generator get one that is at least 30% larger than required than an equivalent AVR based model to help prevent overloads.
