Will the fridge automatically change over to 240v?
Yes, if you are connected to 240v it will automatically change and same when disconnecting.

Can I request which side the hinge is on?
The latest Dometic RCD has a dual hinge, allowing you to open from left to right or right to left at any time.

What happens with the condensation from the fridge?
The fridge includes are drain hose, which is to be fitted to the base and run out of the van.

John Review by JohnFinally put power to fidge and had running for 4 days. Battery check showed even with little sun for solar, no change in battery voltage This far exceeded my expectations. Mygenerator has courteous staff and was very helpful, fridge arrived 4 days after ordering, they price matched without me requesting can't speak high enough of service.(Posted on 30 June 2026)
John Review by JohnThe cut out had to be 10mm more for height to allow for "feet". 12/24vdc connection would have been better if it was mounted nearer the back, making it more accessible. Apart from that, looks great. Waiting for next trip(Posted on 27 June 2026)
