No, the amp output can not be changed. You will need to confirm that the charger you purchase will not produce more than your battery max input
Will this charger work with solar input as well?

No, this is a dedicated DC to DC charger. Renogy to have a range of dual input chargers that have an inbuilt MPPT charge controller
