The Dometic induction cooktop is a modern kitchen appliance that uses electromagnetic technology to heat cookware directly. Compared to the traditional gas or electric stovetops that transfer of heat indirectly through the burner. The induction cooktop generates an electromagnetic field that interacts with the magnetic material in the bottom of compatible cookware. This process creates heat directly in the cookware, making the cooking process faster and up to 25 to 50% more energy-efficient.

Does the Dometic CVI1350 require a hard-wired electrical connection, or does it come with a standard plug?

This model comes equipped with a standard 10A plug. Once the unit is safely installed into your benchtop, it can simply be plugged into a suitable 230V power outlet
Can I install this above a dishwasher?

No, they should not be installed directly above any whiteware appliances, heaters, or similar as it is a safety hazard.
Can I use steel scrubbers to clean the cooktop?

No. Harsh abrasives like steel scrubbers cab scratch the surface, which may reasult in the glass scratching or breaking. Always wipe clean directly after spills and use soft cloths or induction cook-top cleaners to maintain.
Can I install this in my ute canopy?

Unless the IPX4 requirements are met, these cannot be installed in ute canopies, meaning it needs to be installed in a water/dust free area. Always refer to the installation guide for ventilation requirements.
What sized cookware can I use on this?

Any cookware that has a bottom diameter of atleast 140mm (5.5in).
What will happen if the cook-top overheats?

The temperature sensor that is built into the cook-top will detect the overheating (190°C +) and switch it off.
What happens if I put an unsuitable object on the cook-top?

If you put an object on the cook-top that is not compatible for longer than 1 minute, the cook-top will automatically switch to standby mode and activate the fan. This will cool the unit for 1 minute. Examples of incompatible objects include cookware that is too small, non-magnetic, the wrong size, or are clearly off-center.
