It is also suitable for residential, farms and fetes. The model comes with wheels and fold-out handles to make it easily portable around the site.

NOTE: Crommelins use alternators on their generator range that have a power factor of 1, with no energy losses.

Impressed with design / performance Review by George Schmid

Impressed with design & performance. Had a problem with the RCD circuit breaker. Electrician replaced with a double trip switch, one each for the two power outlets. One outlet for domestic ( for emergency house use ) and the other for power tools.

Easy to start, very quiet for an open crate generator and easy to move around due to the wheel kit. This is an upgrade from my 3500w as I needed more grunt to operate my pumps and other domestic requirements. Works a treat, very happy with the unit.

Will this item run for 4 hours every day without the Inverter dying after 1000 hours of operation. I have gone through 4 big brand name generators in the past several years after they get to 1,000 hours.Thank you Kerry

Hi Kerry,

This generator does not have an inverter at all. It is an AVR generator. We do not see why the generator would die within 1000hours provided it receives regular servicing.
Will this power my house for 11 hrs one the rank of fuel

Provided the load applied to the generator is 75% or below the continuous output power it will run for 11+ hours.
Is this generator suitable for a food trailer which has small aircon, fridge/freezer, electric kitchen mixer, led lights, powerpoint for charging mobile phone; given it is AVR will it be suitable for stable power without damaging appliances? I require abo

This generator is suitable to run those appliances, however it will be quite noisy for a food trailer set up.

Another option that would be better suited is the following: https://www.mygenerator.com.au/cromtech-7000w-inverter-generator-electric-start.html

These will be quiter and provide cleaner power for sensitive items.
Would this generator be suitable for backup power for a house? Sitting outside would the noise be an issue in the event of a power cut?

Hi There

The size of the generator is alrgely dependant on what appliances you are looking to run in the event of a power outage.

The Cromtech would be able to run a fridge/freezer, lights, TV, and charge phones/tablets quite easily.

It is rated at 74dba at 7m.
