Our range of Standby generators are designed to provide automatic backup power in the event of a blackout for commercial and domestic applications. These generators have two wires auto start functionality, meaning they will detect when there is a mains power failure and then automatically start up to supply backup power to the building/home. This configuration and connection of the generator to the switchboard is undertaken by a qualified electrician.

Standby generators are very popular in areas that are prone to mains blackouts as well as commercial requirements whereby equipment, machinery or goods preservation cannot be interrupted with a power outage. Models in the size range of 5kVA to 12kVA are popular for domestic auto backup and small commercial requirements such as satellite offices, medical clinics and small workshops. This smaller range is mostly single phase and has petrol and diesel powered options, including super silenced models for especially quiet operation.
For medium to larger commercial backup power needs, businesses will commonly require a three-phase standby generator from around 15kVA and upwards in size. There are gas and diesel powered options and additional configurations to suit specific needs can be supplied including outlets, long range fuel tanks as well as additional silencing.
Many of our standby generator models come with an AMF (Automatic Mains Failure) Panel included whichpermits to transfer the user’s load on generator when the mains voltage fails. Conversely, as soon as AMF system detects the power grid, it stops the generator. Other AMF (also known as Transfer Switches) are available upon request to accompany many of the standby generator units.
Often a standby generator requirement is to provide backup power to essential commercial operations and in this instance, it is advised a quality generator powered by a reputable engine is opted for. This will ensure reliability and longevity regarding your backup power solution. Our generators in this range include premium brands from the likes Kubota, FG Wilson, Pramac, Perkins Engines, Cummins Engines and more. These manufacturers provide comprehensive warranties as well as national service agent and spare parts support.
