The unit fitted one for one as a replacement of the old 20lt Storage HWS in the motorhome Great to have instant hot water Only limitation is the temperature to flow rate. You need to limit the water flow into the system to get full temp. I believe 2.5lt per minute. In saying that... Its not bad as as it acts to conserve water. Greg

After our Hansen HWS ceased to operate and we ascertained that parts are not available we researched a replacement unit. The Camec instant gas HWS attracted our interest because:- 1. Identical dimensions to the unit being scrapped, 2. No storage tank so no nocturnal noise to maintain temperature, 3. Logically more efficient to operate, 4. The technology eg remote control to vary temperature was attractive, and 5. Price seemed attractive given available alternatives. Unfortunately there was a dearth of usable information and the actual units were out of stock in October 2018. We waited and now the unit is installed and operating could not be happier. Recently I used the caravan to shower and was amazed at the quality and quantity of usable water - set at 45 degrees I needed to keep adding cold to the mix. One word of caution- these units whilst relatively uncomplicated need to be professionally installed by a gas fitter who will provide a certificate of compliance.

This is a great product with simple easy instillation and control. The self contained unit really is as easy as mounting in an appropriate location and connecting the water and gas and that's it . The only thing I think this hot water system would benefit from is a larger heating capacity , but in a motor home or camper where water conservation is usually important this is a excellent product.
