Hyundai Warranty

Hyundai Power Products will provide warranty coverage on all Hyundai Power Products as per the following guidelines:

To qualify for Hyundai Power Products warranty coverage:

_ The product must be purchased in Australia, Papua New Guinea or New Zealand from Hyundai Power Products or an authorised dealer of Hyundai Power Products.

_ The warranty is only valid for the original purchaser. Warranty is not transferable to subsequent owners.

_ Proof of purchase must be presented, including the serial number of the product.

Hyundai Power Products Warranty Obligation

Where a warranty request is made Hyundai Power Products will repair or replace or credit (entirely at its discretion after inspection of the alleged faulty part) a product found to be defective in materials or workmanship under normal use during the relevant warranty period stated on the following page. Parts replaced or repaired under warranty are warranted only for the remainder of the balance of the warranty period.

Warranty Period and Coverage:

Hyundai Power Products are covered by warranty for the period as published on the following page and in effect at the time of sale, and shall be governed by all limitations and exclusions.

* Batteries supplied with applicable products are covered by 3-month warranty from date of original purchase.

Hyundai Diesel Generators 1500RPM

• 1 Year / 1000 Hour Warranty (which ever happens first)\
• Parts and Labour included, both commercial and domestic

Hyundai Diesel Generators 3000RPM

• 1 Year / 500 Hour Warranty (which ever happens first)
• Parts and Labour included, both commercial and domestic

Hyundai Petrol Generators

• 1 Year / 500 Hour Warranty (which ever happens first)
• Parts and Labour included, both commercial and domestic

The purchaser is responsible for the delivery of the defective part/product with proof of purchase to Hyundai Power Products or an Authorised Service Agent for inspection during normal business hours and also responsible for all charges in connection with the re-delivery of the part/product. Damage in transit is not covered by this warranty and purchasers should securely pack and remove any liquids before sending. As Hyundai Power Products is not in control of the work load of our service agents, the purchaser shall arrange a suitable time with the agent for rectification of the defective product.

Warranty Exclusions

Any damage caused from the following:

_ Misuse, abuse, alterations, accident or want of care

_ Used for a purpose for which it was not designed or suited

_ Disregarding the service cycle as stated in the owner’s manual booklet

_ Neglecting the instructions given by the owner’s manual booklet

_ Replacement/ use of non-genuine Hyundai spare parts and accessories other than those approved by Hyundai Power Products.

_ Normal wear parts such as; air, oil or fuel filters, fuel cut off valves, brushes, fuel injection nozzle valves, spark plugs, drive belts, tyres, clutch discs, wheel bearings, recoil starter ropes, cables, cutter blades, trimmer line and lubricants.

_ Improper installation, storage and water damage.

_ If the product has been operated on power supply voltage other than that specified on the product.

_ If a “Domestic” product has been used for professional or industrial use.

_ If the product has been disassembled or tampered with in any way.

_ Where the service of this product has been undertaken by a person not authorised by Hyundai Power Products to carry out such work or where parts have not been approved by the Company have been used.

Limitation of Liability

Hyundai Power Products and its Distributors shall in no case be liable to the purchaser, any successors in interest or any beneficiary or assigned of this contract or any breach therefore, or any defect in, or failure of or malfunction of the Equipment hereunder, whether based upon loss of use, lost profits or revenue, interest, lost goodwill, work stoppage, impairment of other goods, loss by reason of shutdown or non-operation, increased expenses of operation, cost of purchase of replacement power or claims of the purchaser or clients of purchaser for service interruption whether or not such loss or damage is based on contract, warranty, negligence, indemnity, strict liability or otherwise.

Nothing is this limitation shall be taken to reduce Hyundai Power Products liability for defective products as defined in the Commonwealth Trade Practices Act 1974.
