A Victron battery protect is designed to disconnect your battery from non-essential loads before it is entirely discharged – this would cause damage to your battery. It is also designed to disconnect before the battery has an insufficient amount of power to crank the engine.
There are several Victron battery protect models on the market – these vary in voltage and amps.
